Walk the World for Children
This year we have decided to team up with a new charity initiative called Walk The World For Children (WTWFC) in order to help raise awareness, involvement and hopefully a shed load of sponsorship money for Unicef.
Throughout 2019 we will also be hosting a series of charity fundraiser walks across the length and breadth of the Snowdonia National Park. From Cadair Idris, to Snowdon summit and from the Glyderau to the Nantlle Ridge, every fortnight will see us donning our outdoor attire and heading out on a mission to try to make a difference to the lives of those less fortunate.
These fundraisers are open to anyone with a waterproof jacket, a pair of hiking boots and a positive attitude. Each event will be headed up by at least one of our experienced and qualified guides who will ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants, leaving you to focus on the important task of putting one foot in front of the other.
We have decided to keep things simple with regards to raising sponsorship by asking for a minimum fee of £50 per person to join an event. For this nominal amount, event participants will receive not only a professionally guided walk to one of Snowdonia’s finest summits (weather permitting) but a pair of official WTWFC water bottles. On top of this £10 of your event fee will be donated directly to Unicef.
We obviously encourage participants to raise as much money as possible from friends, family and anyone else who is willing to support the cause. As well as the standard £10 donation from the minimum event fee, every penny raised over and above the initial £50 will be donated directly to Unicef.
