SINGLE PITCH CLIMBING COURSE

  • Duration: 2x 6 – 8 hour days
  • Difficulty: Moderate
  • Participants – Minimum 1 person. Maximum 6 people

A combination of our Beginners Rock Climbing and our Beginners Trad Climbing 1 day courses, this 2 day course aims to develop the basic skill set required to independently set up top rope and bottom rope systems at single pitch crags.

All courses can be tailored to groups of most ages and abilities. Minimum age – 10 years old.

Although designed for complete beginners, prior experience of indoor climbing will certainly help. If you have never put a harness on before, you can try a half day Rock Climbing Taster session before committing to a full day course.

Day 1

10:00am – Meet your instructor

6 hours of introductory rock climbing tuition. Skills covered include various methods of tying in, belaying techniques, correct use and care of PPE and lots of climbing to practice movement skills and build confidence.

Lunch options are available

16:00pm – Depart

Day 2

6 hours of rock climbing tuition. Skills covered include placing traditional protection, anchor building for abseils, top ropes and bottom rope systems. We will also look to get plenty of actual climbing in to work on movement skills and build confidence on outdoor rock.

Lunch options are available

16:00pm – Depart

  • A private instructor 2 6-7 hour days
  • All safety equipment including helmets, harnesses and climbing shoes if required.
  • Optional packed lunch

Although lunch is not included as standard, there are 2 packed lunch options available at an extra cost.
