MULTI PITCH ROCK CLIMBING COURSE

Designed for competent single pitch climbers who want to take their skills to the next level, this 2 day multi-pitch, trad climbing workshop aims to build the skills required to safely lead larger and more complex routes.

This course can be tailored to suit a wide range of abilities. Over 18s only.

Participants should have a good knowledge of trad climbing techniques, including those required for lead climbing in a single pitch environment.

Multi-Pitch Masterclass has been designed as the perfect follow on from our 2 day Learn to Lead Climb course

Day 1

10:00am – Meet your instructor

6 hours of multi pitch rock climbing tuition. Skills covered include recap on anchor building, gear placement and multi point belay construction. This is often conducted in an instructor led multi pitch lead climbing scenario. Depending on the level of recapping required, the afternoon may include independent lead climbing in a multi pitch environment with an instructor teaching from a secondary rope system.

Day 2

6 hours of multi pitch rock climbing tuition. Skills covered include following on from day one with unassisted yet supervised, multi-pitch lead climbing. This second day can often include pointers on rope management, and techniques to increase efficiency whilst at belay changeovers. We can also touch on some basic self rescue techniques
