Beginners Trad Climbing (1 day)

BEGINNERS TRAD CLIMBING COURSE

Learn the ropes and begin your journey towards becoming a competent independent climber. This 1 day course is designed to teach the basic skills required to safely set up top rope and bottom rope systems, at single pitch climbing venues, with traditional rock climbing protection.

All courses can be tailored to groups of most ages and abilities. Minimum age – 10 years old.

Participants should have some outdoor climbing experience, although no prior technical rope skills are required other than the ability to tie in and belay. This course follows on from our 1 day Beginners Rock Climbing course and can also be booked as part of our 2 day Single Pitch Climbing course.

10:00am – Meet your instructor

6 hours of rock climbing tuition. Skills covered include placing traditional protection, anchor building for abseils, top ropes and bottom rope systems. We will also look to get plenty of actual climbing in to work on movement skills and build confidence on outdoor rock.
